The red plant is Sedum spurium 'Dragons Blood', which is a very good plant for mountain rock gardens. In the bottom left is an Opuntia that is found in the vicinity of Cache Creek, British Columbia. We are told that Ken Hancock's book A Review of the Distribution of the Native Cacti of Canada identifies this as Opuntia x columbiana, which also grows in the Columbia River Basin in Washington, Idaho and Oregon. Yucca glauca and Sempervivum species round out the photo.
